The Smile & Implant Centre Dental Care Plan is our own membership scheme designed to support your continuous, personalised care and the treatment necessary to prevent and control dental disease and restore your mouth to full fitness.

The Smile & Implant Centre Dental Care Plan is designed to help you budget for your dental fees through the year. Our plan also provides valuable insurance should you need additional treatment in an emergency, following an accident or for serious dental conditions such as oral cancer. About The Smile & Implant Centre Dental Care Plan


As individuals, we have to make more and more provision for our own health needs. The Smile & Implant Centre believes that the best way of making treatment affordable, without compromising the high standard of our care, is to offer you membership of our own Smile & Implant Centre Dental Care Plan, with the following benefits:

How Our Payment Plan Works
The monthly fee covers a routine examination, hygiene and x-rays, as well as other benefits, and is collected by monthly direct debit. The services in the plan are the same for all of our patients and, as a result, all patients pay the same.

Direct debit has become a well-accepted method of budgeting monthly and we are delighted to offer you this convenient payment method at The Smile & Implant Centre.

Membership of our plan means that you automatically qualify for a discount on any other treatment you require you can take advantage of an extended payment facility, to pay for treatment over 10 months, if you prefer (conditions apply).

Patient Benefits
The Smile & Implant Centre Dental Plan provides our clients with two monthly payment options:

Option 1: Smile & Implant Centre Dental Plan


£13.28 per month

Regular dental appointments (two per year) to provide:

  • Clinical examination

  • Screening and insurance for oral cancer

  • X-rays where clinically necessary


Regular hygiene appointments (two per year) to provide:

  • Scale & polish

  • Periodontal advice

  • Preventive techniques to reduce decay and gum disease


Assessment of emergencies and dental pain with any temporary treatment required, carried out at the practice during normal surgery hours.

All treatment planning for your future dental needs. Production of study models when required

A substantial reduction off:

  • any laboratory-based treatments required, i.e. crowns, bridges and dentures

  • any fillings

  • other dental work (extractions, etc)

  • any additional hygiene work


Extended payment facility1, worldwide trauma and emergency call out insurance to protect against large unforeseen accidental damage requiring emergency dental treatment, anywhere in the world2, dental trauma insurance3, oral cancer insurance4 and redundancy protection insurance5.

Option 2: Smile & Implant Centre Dental Plan Plus


£19.08 per month

All the benefits of the Smile Centre Dental Plan, but provides members with two additional Dental Hygiene appointments per year.

Registration & Emergency Assistance  Scheme
If you prefer to pay-as-you-go, we recommend that you take out the Emergency Assistance  Scheme only element of The Smile Centre Dental Care Plan. The Emergency assistance is covered is as described above and costs £29.55 per year. It is, however, conditional upon you attending the practice at least once a year for an examination and having any remedial work undertaken as soon as possible, payment for which is not covered, to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

How Do I Register?
Simply call in at the practice or contact us on 0116 2541298. We will provide you with an agreement form which will require your signature and bank account details for the Direct Debit Mandate. Direct debits are collected from all member accounts on the 8th of every month. If you have any queries, please contact us or ask any member of the team.

Notes
1 - Extended Payment Scheme
For plan members who choose additional treatment, we offer the convenience of being able to spread payment over 10 months by simply adding the fee to the existing direct debit. Please note that our normal discount rate is reduced when the Extended Payment Scheme is used and a deposit will be required. Our staff will be pleased to discuss the details with you.
2 - Worldwide Trauma & Emergency Call-Out Insurance
Emergency call-out cover can be provided by any dentist worldwide who agrees to treat you. The cover is for a maximum of £460 per claim with an no excess payable. You simply pay the emergency call-out charge to the dentist concerned and collect a receipted invoice. This will then be processed through the practice for reimbursement from the insurers. This insurance provides for emergency treatment only. You should return to the practice in normal hours for any further treatment required.
3 - Dental Trauma Insurance
If you are unfortunate enough to suffer a dental trauma, for example, as a result of a road traffic accident or an accident at home or work, insurance cover is in place for a maximum of £5,000 with a £460 excess applicable for internal trauma. In addition, should you have to stay in hospital as a result of a dental trauma, you will be entitled to claim £50 per day, after the first day. If you are scarred on the face or neck as a result of the accident, you will be entitled to compensation of between £50 and£500.
4 - Oral Cancer Insurance
A payment of £2,000 will be paid upon diagnosis of oral cancer.
5 - Redundancy Protection Insurance

In the event that you are made redundant, your Dental Care Plan premiums will be paid for up to one year, with a waiting period of 30 days.
